My Bongo is now fully legal having passed the Vehicle Identity Check so I drove up yesterday to Preston to get the road tax for it. I have booked it in with Mike at Wheelquick for a timing belt and tensioner and he is doing that on Thursday so after that it will be getting some use.

I just priced up rear brake pads at my local car accessory shop and got a shock! They wanted over £44 for them so if anyone can get them cheaper then let me know please?

I have already done the engine oil and filter so today I am replacing the fuel filter and then making a start on fitting the alarm I got off Rooster. I hope this weather improves.

wanabee with question

Hi all of you bongoliers (is that right!?) I am a wanabee, who is currently searching around 'dealers'. There seems to be lots of dirty half converted, smelly bongos out there, waiting on someones money to get the work done. Not handy when you want a test drive to help answer the usual questions...I am attracted to the import route, but my investigations are difficult. A very well known company, importing via Cyprus, seems to be the way to go, but I can find no mention of it on any forum, or independent reviews....and when I look at companies house I find the company name listed as dissolved ?? Is it the norm to buy this way or private?

Just had another eventul weekend up at tan hill, via the lake district.

This time i took Jean with me on the bike, had a nice venture around the lakes, then over to tan hill for the evening, all we took was a small tent and 2 compact budget sleeping bags, turned rather cold on saturday evening and the sleeping bags were not really up to the job according to jean.

The wind on the road coming back was scary to say the least, but all in all we certainly enjoyed the weekend.

had s light hiccup before we set of ha ha,i had been to fill the bike up and came back to collect jean, the bag i had attached slightly restricted the handlebars, and the bike fully loaded was a bit heavy and lobsided, jean didn't know what i was on about when i shouted get hold of the bike! as it slowly slipped from my grip.

Right, cleaned the van top to bottom. Waxoiled the arch areas etc.

As some of you know I have a caravan so used my Macleods over winter spray on the AFT roof top-this stops the build of algae and muck building up, especially in the roof guttering, also it makes the roof far easier to clean.

So all done!

Also, does anybody have any idea as to what this is?

It is fastened to the front of the drivers side middle seat rail (front).

I don't have one on the other side and have no idea as to what it is for!?

Si
