As this is the section for anything I thought I would show you what I have been upto this past couple of days.

My lad is into Warhammer and Lord Of The Rings role playing figures. He paints the figures and I make, paint the sets/dioramas for him.

I have model making skills but no way in a professional manner.

So this is what I have been making this last couple of days for him.

Cliff/gully section, modellers foam, shaped to look like lava rock, water fall/pool area made using epoxy adhesive (no shrinkage), flocked with grass and various foliage and painted with various paint effects, all mounted on MDF board. The reason for the shape on the front of the board is so that it can be used with another one...

This board is the other side to above board.

This compiles two modellers foam blocks, glued and then shaped with the added feature of skull added, this was a pain to cut out and get right-had to use modellers putty to finish off the sides/top of the skull area before applying stone effects, painting, foliage etc.

These are just about finished and them he can have them.

This is some more pics of other set pieces I have made for him.

Wet look church ruin.

Dry look church ruin with effects added to plastic church ruin.

Real miniture bricks used in the middle.

Water scene, worked okay apart from the chuffing epoxy went wrong (it can be hard to get it work correctly) cracked

They be real miniture stone flags (expensive).

Ruined temple.

Another ruined temple-this is made from two old wooden chopping boards0the brick/slab effects where all hand carved as is the mud effects.

It keeps me busy and off the streets I suppose

Si
