hi i am having trouble with the elevating roof ,was great until little fingers played with swiches with engine running .Now have flashing warning light on dash, pressing the up button roof goes up bleeping without being unlocked first .when up bleeping stops and dash light out all ok . The sequence starts ok to get the roof down after pressing unlock ,roof comes down in normal way stopping as normal and continues to close after release and repressing down button, roof appears to seat down ok but does not lock. with the roof down the flashing warning light is on whilst driving and if you press the up butrton then the roof starts to go up without unlock button being pushed. any ideas would be very welcome. dread little fingers pushing up button whilst i am driving would make a great air brake.

Odd, you don't need to unlock the roof to put it up. Just run the engine to avoid flattening the battery, make sure that the handbrake is fully on then press the open button to raise the roof until the beeping stops.
You only need to press the unlock switch in the roof to lower the roof which can be done by gravity without the engine running but I always run my engine, then press the close button. As you say lowering the roof is in two stages to make sure nothing is trapped, the beeping should stop when the roof is fully down.
There is a microswitch under the handbrake which controls the roofs operation. I would in the first instance check that this has not come out of its housing as this could cause the beeping to fail to stop.

It sounds like the microswitch on the roof rail, just above the drivers door.
This stops the beeping and light illuminating when the roof is down, that is, if it is working ok?

Don't forget to check out Karl's recommendation that you look at the microswitch on the roof rail above the driver's door. I forgot about that one.
