I was there for a few days in August with AndanDen. The pub which is besides the canal is an old haunt of mine from when I worked in Warrington. It was the last place that I took both my father and my dog befor they both died a few months later.

The campsite is in its first year and was a bit basic when we were there. A gravel road and about 30 hookups had been put in but the toilets were provided by a portacabin on stilts and were a bit smelly at times with only one shower each for which extra had to be paid. Still you had the option of using the pub toilets when it was open.

Rather than cook our main meal of the day in our Bongos, Andy, Dennise and I ate at the pub. I had no complaints about the food myself.

Tony

As you can see Bongoplod popped in to say hello. Forgot to mention that when I was there the hookups nearest the pub/toilets where being used by caravans occupied by pub staff.

Lovely mini meet   and a really nice pub, with good food (not cheap) I bet the place is very busy in summer.
The site aint that bad, and looks like a March meet will be on... More details soon...

hoping to have a small meet here in march,so hopefully you can make it next time.

the weather was terrible yesterday,so we didn't get much chance to have a stroll down the canal.
